Startup Spotlight:
#1: Clarity
Founded: 2023; Locations: US, Israel
Product: Clarity is a cybersecurity and AI company that safeguards trust in digital media by differentiating between genuine and synthetic (deepfake) content.
Why? - With the rapid advancement of synthetic media, especially deepfakes, their impact on society is becoming increasingly significant. While generative AI content has positive applications, it also has the potential to undermine trust in our communication and the digital content we consume. For example, video evidence may no longer be admissible in court; digital banks won't be able to digitally onboard and authenticate users; publishers and distributors won't be able to disseminate content in a responsible way; election systems will lose their trust and integrity. Most importantly, our trust in each other and our own senses may be at stake. This calls for us to employ our best minds and souls to foster healthy and meaningful relationships between humans and machines.
Clarity's technology enables adaptive and scalable detection, promoting the integrity of digital interactions (acting as a "firewall"), safeguarding critical information flow, and bolstering public trust in democratic institutions.

#2: Sequence
Founded: 2023, US
Product: Sequence is a rule-based workflow solution that empowers you to optimize your cash flow. With Sequence, you can build a custom architecture for your finances, directing income sources to any destination and leveraging smart rules and automation.
Why? - In today's financial landscape, relying on a single bank for all your financial needs is no longer practical. We now have numerous specialized services for different financial actions, such as checking and savings accounts in multiple banks, investment accounts, platforms like Robinhood and Coinbase, retirement accounts like 401K, and various credit cards. As a result, managing and optimizing your complex financial system becomes challenging. Moreover, without granular control and automation, you may be missing out on opportunities to maximize your financial resources, unintentionally overspending instead of paying off debts, and falling short of saving for long-term goals. If you find yourself in this situation, you're likely burdened with manual work, juggling spreadsheets, and trying to make the most of limited automation and rules provided by banks, while still unable to execute your desired financial strategy. It's not just a matter of "not enough" but rather a problem of "too much."
Here's how Sequence helps you achieve total control over your finances:
It makes your money visual. Sequence UI is designed as a 'Money map' to help you visualize exactly how your money flows. What you can see, you can manage.
Consolidation: By directing all your income sources into one place and seeing exactly where this money is going, you get a holistic view of your finances. This view can be of your personal finances, household, business... Whatever fits your needs.
Smart and specific: Being able to set conditionals (IF statements) to your money flow opens up a whole new level of control. Set granular rules to control precisely when, how much, and where your money should go.
Founders: Gilad Uziely (CEO) - ex-Co-founder & VP BD @ Lance (smart business banking for the self-employed); Oren Reuveni (CTO) - ex-CTO @ Lance; Tom Reuveni (CPO) - ex-Co-founder & CPO @ Lance
Funding (public sources): N/A
Investors: N/A
